About BaliWanderer
BaliWanderer is a guide to Bali, published in French, English and German, independently edited by Kylian Dev. It sells nothing itself: labelled partner links fund the site, no review is paid for. Each page relies on public sources cited at the bottom of the page and shows its update date.

Who publishes the site
BaliWanderer is published by Kylian Dev, an independent publisher. No travel company, tourist office or advertiser takes part in the writing or reviews the pages before publication.
The site does not claim the experience of a resident: it does not tell personal stories and does not present itself as written from the island. Its value lies in its method, described in the editorial standards, and in its sources, listed page by page.
Why this site exists
Much of the content about Bali written in French mixes advice and commercial links, or copies travel times and prices without saying where they come from. This site tries to do the opposite: answer first, say what is verified and what is only an order of magnitude, and refer to the official sources for everything that changes (visa, levy, health).
Each chapter starts with a direct answer, then goes into detail. Regions, transfers, months and accommodation are covered in separate pages, linked to each other, so that you quickly find the page that answers your question.
How it is funded
Labelled partner links fund the site, no review is paid for. Some pages offer, where the need arises, a link to a booking or travel service (12Go, Trip.com, GetYourGuide, SafetyWing, Revolut, Holafly). Each one carries the label “Partner link”: if you book through it, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
The site shows no advertising and publishes no sponsored content. If another source of funding appears one day, it will be announced on this page before it is put in place.
What the site does not do
- No hidden partner links: a link that may earn a commission carries the label “Partner link”.
- No paid reviews or disguised partnerships: no establishment, guide or agency is featured in exchange for payment or an invitation.
- No invented testimonials and no numerical scores given to a place.
- No text published without review: whatever writing tools are used, each page is reviewed and its figures checked before publication.
- No bookings, no quotes: the site informs, it sells no accommodation, transfers or excursions. A booking made through a partner link is concluded with the partner.
The sources consulted
Entry rules come from the official Indonesian websites (immigration e-VoA, Bali province tourist levy, All Indonesia Arrival Card) and from France Diplomatie’s travel advice page. Health relies on France Diplomatie and the World Health Organization. Climate normals are those of the Ngurah Rai airport station, 1991–2020 period. Cultural sites refer to UNESCO and to the province’s tourist office.
